It is possible for your child to recover, and for your family to heal.

If your child is struggling with an eating disorder or disordered eating, it is a scary place to be.

We are a specialized team of therapists and dietitians who help children and families recover from an eating disorder. We work in partnership with your family to create a comprehensive plan that supports all members involved. We believe that caregivers should be involved in their child’s recovery and help their child heal from the eating disorder.

By working with us, learn how to confidently support your child in their recovery from an eating disorder by:

Our Approach

We will provide an effective support plan that is highly individualized to your child and family.

We use Family Based Treatment (FBT) as one of our primary approaches for children and teens struggling with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, ARFID and other specified feeding or eating disorders (OSFED).

We also utilize nutrition education, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, Internal Family Systems, and other evidence-based modalities in our work.

We help you navigate the German/European health system and partner with other members of your child’s team, like medical doctors or psychiatrists, to ensure you get the best care.

We firmly believe in a close team approach including a medical doctor, therapist and dietitian for children and adolescents.

Stones stacked on top of each other

Why we recommend including the family?

  • Research has consistently shown FBT to be one of the most effective treatment methods, providing families with the tools and support needed to help their child recover. FBT is not for everyone - but we try and tailor our approach to uniquely fit into your family’s needs.

  • Evidence shows that the most effective and sustainable interventions for children and adolescents with eating disorders involve the family

  • FBT is conducted in an outpatient setting, making it an excellent alternative to inpatient care when medically appropriate

  • This approach empowers families to support their child’s recovery with nutritional rehabilitation, weight restoration, and encouraging variety during mealtimes

  • FBT does not blame the parents for causing an eating disorder. Instead, FBT involves parents to be a crucial part of the caregiving team to help nourish their child to health

  • You know your child better than anyone! Your treatment team will collaborate with you on how to effectively and efficiently feed your child

  • An eating disorder affects all family members - by involving the family in treatment, everyone can receive healing
